Thursday March 28 at 7-830p
Friday March 29 at 7-830p
What ages is this designed for?
All ages are welcome! Young, not-so-young, single, families, anyone!
What can I expect to experience?
You will sit at a table with others and share in a guided Seder (Passover meal) experience. Similar to a dinner theater, Bible characters will interact with attendees and explain the meaning behind each of the items on the Seder plate. There will be times of fun as well as moments of thoughtfulness.
What should I wear?
Casual clothing is just fine.
What foods will we eat?
We will taste Matzah (flat bread),celery dipped in salt water, parsley, horseradish, Charoset (apples, cinnamon, walnuts, & honey), roasted lamb.
What if I have food allergies?
Please contact the church office for an ingredient list. We will do our best to suggest or provide an alternative if possible.
Will this be a full meal?
The purpose of the Seder is to tell a story using foods to represent moments in Israel’s history. Therefore, it is not a meal like you’re used to, but you will eat plenty of each of the tasty foods that Jews use to celebrate.
How should I prepare for this experience?
You do not need to do anything… but wouldn’t it be fun to familiarize yourself with the Exodus and Last Supper accounts in the Bible beforehand? No pressure… just a thought.
