COVID-19 – MARCH 16, 2020 3:30PM

UPDATED: Monday 3:30pm (March 16th, 2020)

We hope you were able to join us yesterday online for church.  I am thankful for the staff and volunteers that worked hard to put together the virtual service on such short notice.  If you need help accessing the livestream, please contact the church for assistance.

Our community has continued to curb gatherings in order to contain the Coronavirus.  At the writing of this, Gov.  Holcomb has required restaurants to close dining options in order to slow the spread of the Coronavirus.  We believe it is important that Fair Haven do our part in protecting our local community.

Here are the quick points to know:

  • Services will be online only at 9:45 & 11:00 for the next 3 weeks. (March 22nd, 29th and April 5th)
  • ALL weekday activities that take place at the church are suspended through April 5th
  • Small groups which meet in homes are encouraged to suspend through April 5th
  • Outside groups which use the church building are suspended through April 5th

We are currently waiting for a shipment of portable communion supplies which we will make available.  Once the shipment arrives, we will let you know the pickup procedure.

Small Groups (From Brian Mulder, Administrative Minister)
For the next few weeks (through April 5) we are suspending all small group meetings at the church and also discouraging home groups from meeting together.  We do encourage small group members to increase connection and care for each other through phone calls, texts, emails and one-on-one visits as appropriate.

Children’s ministry changes (From Meredith Proctor, Children’s Minister)
Children’s programming will be suspended through April 5th.  Our last two Rooted meetings on Sunday evenings will be April 19th & May 3rd.  Oh! how I will miss seeing all of you! But we will learn to keep in touch via social media and email.  If you have any questions, please email, text, or call me.  Also, go to our Facebook page for updates and creative ways you can disciple your kids during the extended time you have with them.  www.Facebook.com/route146

Student Ministry (From Tanner Garver, Student Minister)
Student Ministry gatherings will also be suspended with normal worship services. We will be making video resources available to learn and grow together without physically being together.  We will be getting creative with how to connect students during this time by utilizing social media and other online resources.

This pandemic has pushed most into uncharted waters.  We know in the midst of uncertain times the temptation is to worry.  I’ve heard it said, “Sometimes God calms the storm, other times He steadies the boat.”  Whether God calms the storm or simply steadies you, be confident in his faithful care in your life.

Please share this information with those who may not receive it, post it on social media, and reach out personally to those who may not know the current plans.

I love you all and am praying for you during this trying season.

In Christ,
Brian T. Clark
Lead Pastor
